Why should I choose screw-in type pegs rather than use my normal knock-in type pegs?
ScrewPegs where originally developed for people who did not want to use knock-in pegs.  Our Caravan Park consists entirely of hardstandings. We noticed that some guests, particularly those that suffered from bad backs, knees, arthritis etc. found using a mallet on hardstanding pitches hard work and painful.  ScrewPegs therefore provided an answer, because  they are easy to use – for putting the pegs into the ground and getting them out again, they are faster than ordinary knock-in pegs, they hold the ground better than a knock-in pegs.  We then went onto develop EzyPegs because we wanted a peg that complemented ScrewPegs but for use on softer pitches.  EzyPegs are designed for grass type pitches, are also very easy to use, they are extremely fast and they have much better ground holding ability than any standard knock-in type peg.

How many pegs will I need?
Our awning set contains 30 ScrewPegs / EzyPegs, for most small awnings / tents this number of pegs should be adequate.  If you have a medium or larger awning / tent, you will need approximately 40 or 50 pegs respectively.

Which pegs are best, ScrewPegs or EzyPegs?
If you use hardstanding pitches then you should choose ScrewPegs because they are a steel peg.  If you use grass pitches or use CLs (Certified Locations) then choose EzyPegs as these are designed for use on grass, because of the thicker thread on the screw, they have better hold in soft conditions.

Why do you offer two different size pegs for both EzyPegs and ScrewPegs?
We offer two different sizes to give greater choice.  Most customers choose the longer pegs whether they are going for the ScrewPegs or EzyPegs.  But the shorter pegs are okay if what you are trying to secure is lightweight, or (particularly with ScrewPegs) if the depth into the ground is limited.

What type of cordless drill should I use?
The type of drill that you use is most important – the more powerful the better.  We would suggest that you choose a minimum 18v or 24v cordless drill; we would also suggest that you choose a drill with two batteries.  I use a 24v drill and my battery enables me to do everything, caravan steadies, and put up and take down the awning all on one battery,  but I have the second battery if required.  If you are on a CL without electric hook-up, then a second backup battery is a wise precaution.

Do I have to use a cordless drill?
You can not hammer in ScrewPegs or EzyPegs; they are designed to screw into the ground.  The easy way of doing this is with a cordless drill, however you can also use a socket ratchet – but if you are doing this on a hardstanding, it would be very hard work.  Putting EzyPegs into the ground with a socket ratchet is relatively easy on grass pitches; depending on how hard the ground is… it is easier with a cordless drill!!
