ScrewPegs 8” / 20cm
Designed for use with a cordless drill.
20cm x 8mm diameter tough, steel peg will enter hard and demanding ground conditions, including correctly constructed hardstanding pitches.
The 20cm ScrewPeg is by far the most popular peg for use on hardstanding pitches, tough ground and sun baked continental pitches. The 20cm peg is highly reliable and the extra depth of the peg provides impressive performance and excellent ground holding ability and grip.

Customer expectation: Please note, ScrewPegs will not ‘go through’ Tarmac, concrete or rock – in very difficult, exceptionally hard ground conditions, we suggest that a pilot hole is drilled with a 6.5mm x 200mm, masonry bit (see Product Overview page).
Customer advice:
Hardstandings and continental pitches are often extremely compacted and hard, we would suggest therefore that you choose the 20cm / 8” ScrewPeg for this type of work**.
The surface of a ‘hardstanding’ pitch, is composed of aggregate and is loose and providing poor, initial hold. On some pitches, it is not until you have reached a depth of 3cms or 4cms that a peg starts to get real grip and hold in the ground. We offer the longer ScrewPeg for these types of conditions providing extra security with the greater depth.
**If it is known that the peg depth is limited, then the 15cm / 6” ScrewPeg is a useful alternative under such limited conditions.
Normal Domestic Cordless Drill: ScrewPegs are designed for use with a normal domestic cordless drill with adjustable torque control settings, ideally the drill should be at least 18v and have the option of ‘hammer mode’ (for use on hardstanding pitches). The drill should not be used continuously in ‘hammer mode’ or with excessive torque applied, as this could cause increased wear on your ScrewPegs. See hints and tips. |

ScrewPegs 6 ” / 15cm
Designed for use with a cordless drill, the 15cm x 8mm diameter steel peg is a tough peg that will enter hard and demanding ground conditions, including correctly constructed hardstanding pitches.
The 15cm ScrewPeg is the peg to choose if the depth of the pitch is limited by a hard sub layer. However, please note that ScrewPegs will not ‘go through’ Tarmac, concrete or rock. The 15cm peg uses the same materials as the 20cm ScrewPeg and can also be used on hardstanding pitches, tough ground and sun baked continental pitches, but because of the shorter depth, the grip and hold will not be quite as good as the 20cm ScrewPeg. (Please refer to 20cm product description for more detail.)

- The other popular use for the 15cm version of the ScrewPeg is on awning skirts / mud flaps and for use as a groundsheet peg when a more robust option is required. When using ScrewPegs in this way, you will need eyelets that will accept an 8mm peg (it is very rare that eyelets are less than this). The other option if eyelets are not fitted is to use a product called a ‘cling-on’ – please refer to our Products Overview page for more details
