Assembling ScrewPegs:

Simply place washer on screw and slide through plastic top, with the top pointing upwards.

Holding the Screwpeg:     
Hold the plastic top between your first and middle fingers.  Do not touch any of the metal part of the ScrewPeg or drill, as the metal parts of the drill and ScrewPeg will be rotating when used.  The plastic top may be stiff the first  time that you use the ScrewPeg, and therefore you may need an extra firm grip during early use to hold it when putting the ScrewPeg into the ground.

Using the Drill:       
You will require a good quality cordless hammer type drill ideally minimum 18/24 volt.  When using ScrewPegs for the first time, set your cordless drills torque setting to a middle torque setting, this setting will vary dependant on the cordless drill type.  Check the drill is not in hammer mode (If the ground  is hard, then put the drill into hammer mode to break through any hard ground.)  While holding the plastic top, slowly set the drill in motion by activating the trigger on the drill.  Steadily put the ScrewPeg into the ground. Avoid continual use in hammer mode, as this will cause increased wear on your ScrewPeg.

Start mid torque (power) - drill mode
(approximate setting 3 to 4)

Important Advice ­ Drill Settings:     
As you become familiar with using ScrewPegs, you will be able to vary the cordless drills torque setting to suit the ground conditions.  Please take great care if you set your drill to the maximum torque setting.

Then move up to higher torque (speed).
 
Important Advice - Best Technique. Do not trap your Fingers:
You need to remember that when the ScrewPeg is nearly in the ground,      you must change your grip on the screwpeg, or you could trap your fingers between the top of the peg and the ground.  When the ScrewPeg is nearly in the ground, stop the drill, remove your fingers, and change your hold on the ScrewPeg.  Hold the 'hook¹ part of the ScrewPeg in your fingers, again being careful not to touch the metal of the ScrewPeg or drill as they rotate. You can then ease the ScrewPeg into the ground ­ you may also find it easier to attach your awning / tent tie at this stage, before the ScrewPeg is fully into the ground.

Assembling EzyPeg:  Simply slide the screw through widest part of the plastic top, with the text on the ŒT¹ section facing upwards.  Then clip the top by pulling across the screw (see photo) (the clip will still be able to rotate freely around the screw).

Holding the EzyPeg:                        
Hold the plastic top between your first finger and thumb.



Using the Drill      
You will require a good quality cordless type drill ideally minimum 18/24 volt.  When using EzyPegs for the first time, set your cordless drills torque setting to a middle torque setting, this setting will vary dependant on the cordless drill type.  (Check the drill is not in hammer mode, we do not recommend hammer mode for EzyPegs).  While holding the plastic top, slowly set the drill in motion by activating the trigger on the drill.  Apply some downward pressure on the drill handle to make the EzyPeg enter the ground and steadily put the EzyPeg into the ground.

Attaching the Awning / Tent Ties
You can attach you EzyPegs using awning ties, rubbers or ladderbands. Remember that because the top of the EzyPeg rotates, you should attach the awning tie on the part of the peg nearest to the awning, not on the opposite side as you would with a knock in peg. You will probably will probably find it easier to attach the tie, or it may spin with the peg, and tangle the tie around the Ezypeg. If this does happen, stop the drill immediately, put the drill in reverse mode, and slowly reverse the drill. As mentioned earlier, it is best to take this stage slowly at first, until you have found the technique that suits you best.

Removing Your Ezy Pegs from the Ground
Put you drill into reverse mode, hold the plastic top of the EzyPeg as you did when inserting into the ground. Then slowly turn the peg out of the ground. Hold the Ezypeg so that the tie does not turn and tangle around the peg. Once the peg is a little way out of the ground, remove the tie and make sure it is clear of the peg and drill. Now you can fully remove the EzyPeg.

Clean Your EzyPeg
As with all equipment, if you keep your Ezypegs clean, store them in a dry place, they will give you excellent service.

EzyPegs will not go through Tarmac, concrete or rock.
Ezypegs are made from extra strong plastics and designed for people who do not wish to use a knock-in peg. They are designed for use with a good quality cordless drill (ideally minimum 18/14 volt). They will enter almost all normal ground conditions, including soft and sandy pitches.
The main benefits of EzyPegs are their excellent ground holding ability and by using a cordless drill, it is the drill that does the work and not you, saving the struggle associated with knock-in pegs.
