"The idea for ScrewPegs simply came from watching people putting up their awnings and tents. For some people putting up the awning was a real struggle, having to kneel and bend, and using a mallet for those that had arthritis was clearly difficult. There had to be an easier way!!

Many caravanners already carried a cordless drill for raising / lowering their caravan steadies….. a cordless drill must be easier than a mallet … and so we produced what everyone now recognises as ScrewPegs."

Jim is a design engineer with years of experience working on many major projects. In recent years he has specialised in the automotive industry. His design expertise and knowledge of materials was invaluable. ScrewPegs was a relatively simple design, but interestingly because Jim approached the design with fresh eyes, his design for the ScrewPegs top was totally different.

Jim has subsequently used the knowledge from the ScrewPegs development work to produce the new product EzyPegs, again a tent / awing peg (or stake as they say in the states) but EzyPegs are designed for grass type pitches. Made of exceptionally strong plastics Jim's has once again proved the value of practical good design, with a product that has been tested in extreme conditions.
